The art of the Indian drape, reimagined for the modern woman.

Founded in Delhi in 2017, One Knot One creates contemporary occasionwear rooted in the craft of Indian dressing.

At the heart of our design language is the drape — its movement, fluidity and ability to shape the body. We reinterpret it through sculpted silhouettes, unexpected proportions and intricate hand embroidery, creating pieces that feel distinctly Indian without feeling traditionally bound.

Every garment is developed with the woman in mind: how it sits on the body, how it moves, how easily she can wear it, and how she feels in it.

Our pieces are made in our Delhi atelier by a close community of skilled craftspeople— from pattern makers and draping specialists to dressmakers and hand embroiderers. Each garment passes through their hands, bringing together precision, craftsmanship and considered design.

We believe occasionwear shouldn’t demand that a woman choose between beauty and ease, tradition and individuality, or craftsmanship and modernity.

OUR MUSE

Made to be worn over the years, One Knot One does not follow any short term trends. We always believe that the statements pieces in your wardrobe are everlasting. So we draw our inspiration from the urban women who are protagonist and free- spirited. In daily lives, we encounter different women with different body types but feel conscience in trying new silhouettes. As a women who are fuller, blessed with curves , or taller , there is a silhouette which flatters all body types. Once the silhouette is figured out, women don’t need to follow any thoughtless trends.

OUR FOUNDER

Ashna developed her interest in fashion very early in life. She pursued her career in fashion design from Pearl Academy of Fashion, Delhi. After that she worked under renowned fashion designers and gained the expertise in the field. She wants to cater to Indian body types through flattering silhouettes and drapes.

THE ATELIER

Located in Delhi, our atelier houses a workspace for brilliant and hardworking craftspeople – pattern makers, dressmakers, draping specialists and hand embroiders – all trained and skilled in their unique craft over the years.
